Who we are

Remi and Florence Bakehouse started when Kim decided to make her oldest daughter’s 2nd birthday cake. It was a medley of baby shark, pastels and you’ll never guess… the main character Shaun the Sheep. She enjoyed the creative process so much and the guests at the party approached her to make cakes for them too. A passion for creating intricate, detailed and delicious sweet treats drove Kim to create stunning creations for those she loved most. The business then grew organically via word of mouth and Instagram to what it is today. Remi and Florence are the middle names of Kim’s 2 daughters dedicated to how she started and why she keeps going.

Kim has worked extensively on her craft to learn the best techniques for all things modern wedding cakes and hyper-detailed sugar cookies. Her passion to learn challenging techniques and create items with high level of detail has created a loyal customer base of returning clients that rave about her creations.
